Sub. : An appeal for supporting Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Baranagar engaged in rendering education to 2500 students studying in High School, centenary Primary School and Computer Training Centre and over 500 young boys and girls of different slum areas who are economically and culturally backward, making no distinction of their religion, caste and creed. All round development means development of their health and hygiene, education, culture etc.
Baranagore Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, a branch centre of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math, steeped in philanthropic and charitable ideas and ideals has always engaged itself in various kinds of humanitarian and welfare activities. The activities of Ramakrishna Mission spring up from the noble idea "ATMONO MOKSHARTHAM JAGADDHITAYA CHA", propounded by Swami Vivekananda. It dates back to hundred years, when in the vicinity of Baranagar Math, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama in the form of Boys’ Home was set up. Presently this Ashrama has broadened itself in different wings of activities. The detailed activities with future dreams are given below for your perusal. |
